Banbridge rfc womens 1st xv promoted

We are delighted to confirm that our 1XV team will compete in the Ulster Women's Premiership for the 24/25 season. A challenge they are eager to take on in just our third season in competitive rugby.

Having been promoted from Championship B midway through the 22/23 season, and then promoted from Championship A at the end of the 23/24 season, back to back promotions see our women take on the tough task of competing in the top league in Ulster against other well established women's teams.

Head Coach Charlie Farrell commented "our players are extremely committed to our sport, giving up countless hours to be the best they can be, they're role models for our girls pathway. I'm delighted their enthusiasm and drive is being rewarded and I can't wait to see how we step up again to another challenge and keep leading our club forward.
In regard to new players, Charlie added "we have some brand new players and experienced players joining our squad this season, we're always open and excited to have new players give it a try with us!

Director of Rugby, Marc Eadie said "This is fantastic news and so well deserved for a section that was only set up a few years ago. The Women's team have brought a new dimension to our Club and for them to be playing at the highest level in Ulster rugby so soon is a credit to Charlie, Shannon, Jemma and all the players.

The team aren't just in the Premiership league to make up the numbers and the Club will be backing them to keep them their for the foreseeable and higher.

The Club are so proud of them and with the youth pathway squads providing players year on year we can only get stronger.
